In 2018, I began asking a simple question:

What could bring more meaning to my life’s pursuits?

That question led me to interview creatives about their work, and this became the basis for my book 32 Regrets: A Guide to Reclaiming Creativity.

More importantly, it changed the direction of my work.

As I interviewed artists, founders, and makers, I realized I wasn’t fascinated by products alone. I was fascinated by the people behind the product. I wanted to understand their discipline, their curiosity, and their commitment to building something well.

That realization has shaped everything I have created since.

Today, I work with thoughtful brands, founders, and craftspeople to tell stories that build lasting connections with their audience. Through writing, photography, documentary film, and creative strategy I help uncover the human stories that give products meaning.

My work has taken me incident independent watchmaking ateliers in Switzerland, into workshops, and studies, and with small businesses around the world. While the subjects change, I am always looking for the meaning behind a product or service.

I take care in how I tell stories. You take care in a product’s design. You care about how your product is made. You take care in how your story is shared.

I believe stories matter because they remind us that behind every remarkable product is a remarkable human being.

In an increasingly digital world, that human connection has never been more valuable.

In short, I am a storyteller in search of meaning. Understanding why products have meaning, and understanding the human connections and relationships that bring that meaning into existence.

Let’s write that story together.

“TODD'S CURIOSITY AND BOUNDLESS ENTHUSIASM FOR THE WATCH INDUSTRY ARE HARD TO MATCH. WHILE WORKING TOGETHER ON THE SEEKING PERFECT SERIES, I SOON CAME TO APPRECIATE HAVING SUCH A DEDICATED PERSON DRIVING THE PROJECT. HIS WILLINGNESS TO CONTRIBUTE, HIS ADAPTABILITY, AND HIS LEVEL OF RESEARCH HELPED THE TEAM MORE THAN ONCE. IT'S RARE TO FIND PEOPLE WITH AS MUCH GENUINE PASSION FOR WATCHES AND COMMUNICATION COMBINED, SO IF YOU GET THE CHANCE TO WORK WITH TODD, DON'T THINK TWICE!”

A metal dock or pier extends over a body of water with a river or lake in the background. The scene is outdoors during overcast weather with leafless trees and bushes on either side of the pier, suggesting late fall or winter. The water appears calm and reflective.
